NFPA-compliant · Commercial kitchens
Protect your staff, customers, and business. Since 2015, Powerwash Pros has kept Southwest Florida kitchens safe, compliant, and inspection-ready with thorough, code-standard hood and exhaust cleaning.
Professional hood cleaning experts
From busy restaurants to hotels, hospital cafeterias, school kitchens, and food trucks, every commercial kitchen with a hood is required to keep its exhaust system clean. We follow NFPA guidelines to cut grease buildup, minimize fire risk, and improve ventilation — and unlike one-size-fits-all corporate outfits, we clean and inspect the entire system thoroughly, every time.
Why it matters
Grease buildup is a leading cause of commercial-kitchen fires. Regular cleaning removes the fuel before it becomes a danger.
Florida requires commercial kitchens to have hoods and exhaust cleaned on an NFPA schedule for fire safety and health.
Inspectors require documented hood and duct cleaning to keep your doors open. We help you stay ready and compliant.
A clean exhaust system pulls heat, smoke, and odor out efficiently — a cooler, safer, more comfortable kitchen.
Removing grease and buildup extends the life of fans, filters, and ductwork — and protects your investment.
Family-owned since 2015 — meticulous, dependable, and proud of the work, not a faceless national chain.
The whole system
A proper, code-standard cleaning covers the entire system — top to bottom, hood to rooftop.
Interior and exterior hood surfaces scraped, degreased, and washed to a clean, polished finish.
Filters removed, soaked, degreased, and reinstalled — or replaced when worn beyond cleaning.
The grease-laden ducts behind the hood cleaned along accessible runs to reduce fire load.
Fan housing, blades, and base cleaned and serviced where the heaviest grease collects.
Containment systems checked and cleaned to keep grease off your roof and out of drains.

Hood cleaning · Good to know
If your kitchen has a hood, you need a hood cleaning. That includes commercial and residential kitchens, restaurants, hotels, resorts, country clubs, hospital cafeterias, school snack bars, and food trucks across Southwest Florida — any kitchen with a cooking exhaust hood.
Three reasons. It's mandated — Florida requires commercial kitchens to have hoods and exhaust cleaned on the NFPA schedule, and an unmaintained system can void your insurance coverage if a fire occurs. It's a health requirement — inspectors require regular hood and duct cleaning to keep your doors open, and grease buildup keeps exhaust fans from venting properly. It's a major fire hazard — grease fires account for over half of all commercial-kitchen fires, and built-up grease can ignite in seconds.
It depends on how much and what you cook. A high-grease, high-volume kitchen serving burgers and fries daily needs cleaning far more often than a low-volume bistro. As a guide, NFPA 96 calls for monthly service for high-volume or solid-fuel cooking, quarterly for high-volume, semi-annually for moderate, and annually for low-volume. We assess your kitchen and recommend the right schedule.
We always clean and inspect the entire hood and exhaust system to NFPA standards — not just what's visible. We protect and cover everything around the hood first, then scrape, degrease, and wash the hood and canopy, baffle filters, plenum, accessible ductwork, and the rooftop exhaust fan. Unlike many corporate or chain hood cleaners, we never leave a mess behind.
